CAD drafting Detaching the Point Cloud from the Database 6 Command line: PC_STORAGE_UNLINK

This command breaks the connection between the point cloud in the drawing and the database, leaving the point cloud in the database unchanged.

When the command is called, a check is made to see if the point cloud contains database connection information.

If the connection is absent, the message is displayed.

The command is not performed.

If the connection to the Database exists, the command removes it.

Before the connection is removed, the user is shown a confirmation that the connection has been broken.

After this, the cloud becomes “local”—it is no longer considered part of the versioned storage. The next time you export using the PC_TO_STORAGE command, a new cloud will be created in the database, not a new revision of the existing one.
